1956

the business was established. Mario Locarno started making wire mesh, to which he quickly added the production of mesh containers. His son, Paolo, was soon brought into the family business and helped the company to grow by equipping the containers with wheels... the first Locarno trolleys were born.

1975

Paolo Locarno continued the business on his own, increasingly working on bespoke products to meet the specific needs of customers, alongside the standard production. Over time the importance of adapting production to the surrounding business environment, comprising small/medium-sized companies, became clear as these were also required to customize and diversify production. Consequently, the business increasingly focused on the production of small, custom-made batches.

1999

a new generation entered the business when Paolo’s son Alessandro, who has a degree in management engineering, joined the company to speed up and improve the design aspect, giving a boost and innovation to design, and making it a fully-fledged part of the services offered to customers.

2001

the company changed its name to the one it has today. Locarno Alessandro & C. sas embarked on a new journey, collaborating with and supplying leading companies involved in aircraft manufacturing, a sector with a strong reputation in this area of Italy, adding 3D modelling and prototyping to traditional 2D design.

2007

the company began to market itself not only as a manufacturer of trolleys and metal containers but also as a supplier of maintenance support equipment for aircraft, mostly helicopters.
